HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE MADELYNN !!

Baby girl, Reese Madelynn Snyder, was born this morning. She weighed in at 6lbs 12oz and 20” long.  She has great lungs! :)  Peyton and Paige were absolutely thrilled. They literally jumped up and down in the waiting room for 5 minutes. So, so cute to watch. They are already very protective of baby sister, especially Peyton. I thought she was gonna take out the nurse who was bathing her. Reese was crying when Peyton walked in and she had a small hissy fit asking what was wrong, what are you doing to her. She even told the R.N. that she was probably getting frostbite on her feet. (it was like 85 degrees in there) It was very sweet to see. Paige kept saying “I can’t believe I’m a big sister”, over and over and over and over again. They looked really cute with their Aunt Brittany french braided hair. Reese has just a little bit of red hair and blue eyes.  I know most babies have blue eyes when they’re born, but the big girlies didn’t. So, it was new for us. She does have some little thigh rolls and is already trying to stuff her entire hand in her mouth to suck on.  Sandy looks good. But, and this was hysterical!, Paige said “ I don’t get it, if she’s outta you why do you still have a big belly”!!! Best line of the day.  Keep us laughing girls.  James looks very comfortable in his new daddy role. Didn’t seem intimidated or hesitant at all. Here are just a few pics. Trust me, there will be MANY MORE to come.  :))IMG_2674

James had just texted us that little Reese was finally here. Think they’re happy or what??!!IMG_2680

Fight for Preemie's Day Nov 17th

Peyton and Paige, my gorgeous, now 9 1/2 year old healthy nieces were born at 27 weeks 6 days. Peyton weighed 2 lbs 6 oz, and Paige was 2 lbs 5 1/2 oz. After an 8 week stay in 3 different NICU's they were released home with Peyton weighing in at a whopping 4lbs 1 oz and Paige at 3lbs 15 oz. Still very small. Their preemie clothes had to have the arms and legs rolled up like crazy and everytime we picked them up their tiny, tiny socks would fall off. Today they are now healthy, ENERGETIC, smart, athletic, and artistic. We, however will never forget the micropreemie, red babies that they started out as.

STELLAN !!!!!

Stellan has been discharged from the hospital and is flying home tomorrow! That is totally amazing. His SVT is gone. Gone, gone, like less than 1% coming back ever gone. His heart looked great on the ECHO. Totally amazing! No more heart meds 24/7. Just some diuretics to help him get rid of the fluid he's accumulated. Totally different life for this family. A new normal for them. What a mighty God we serve!

Now on a more serious note…..

Please continue to pray for Sweet Baby Stellan. He was released from the hospital today, but will be going to Boston later in the week. They are looking at another ablation early next week if the docs there are unable to keep his svt under control with medication adjustments. Right now, he’s on huge doses of many medicines, and that is not good on his little body.                                On the Baby Girl Snyder homefront. Sandy is 37 weeks today. That is FULL TERM!  Never thought that’d happen honestly. So we’re just waiting and wondering if she’ll be a chubby little redhead, or (my guess) a normal sized, bald as an eagle, slightly hyper girlie.    Paige and I have tickets to see Annie at the Assembly Hall in December. Should be a lively evening :)

Alrighty, pretty much up to date now

So, you’ve almost made it. You can see the end now.  Only a few remaining pictures and stories to go. You’ve done it. Give yourself a pat on the back.  Now, back to business….I did get to go over to Lake of the Woods at Mahomet with Brittany and the gang for a few quick pictures. Her kids are pretty easy to get shots of. They are all so cute. Yep, Lauren, cute. You may be taller than me, and Brookelyn may be getting close, but still cute ;)  It’s a very pretty park, I hadn’t been before. We were kind of short on time, but got some good pictures anyway. I won’t mention my near mind-numbing car sickness on the way home…….or I won’t mention it again. Here are just a couple from that day.

Double Time People, Keep Up

October in Illinois…..Football.  Moving right along, basketball is here!! Fine, back to football. I did get to go to Memorial Stadium for a game with Elijah and Peyton. It was their 1st time at a college game and both were excited. I was excited to watch them enjoy EVERYTHING. They loved all of it except for the cold temps during the 1st half. I loved seeing the basketball team. They loved the band. I pretended The Chief was still there and tried to explain where and when he would have come out of the band and which kicks and stuff he’d have been doing. Peyton had us losing the game at the end of the 1st quarter (so did I), Elijah had hope until about 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. Gotta love that! They liked looking for the Mich St mascot “Sparty”, I liked looking at the Assembly Hall across the street. They loved riding the shuttle bus, ok I loved riding the shuttle bus. They were great, well behaved, cute, enthusiastic. I had a really fun time with them. We’ll have to go again guys :))

Still with me people? Good

So, continuing….I got home from Ky in time for the Labor Day parade in westville. I know, you’re thinking what an exciting life i have. So true. OK…..not! Never been to a parade in westville before, it’s a little scary.  But, James was gonna be driving the big red fire truck, and who can resist that? Not Paige or Brookelyn, they rode in the truck with him. Aunt Shawn and Uncle John brought the boys down, and Brittany was there with Lauren, Brooke, and Naters. We all went back to mom and dads after for, of course, food. The kids had a great time. Here are some pictures. (the rainbow wasn’t that day, but I thought i’d throw that in for free)

I’m Gonna Catch Everyone Up in FAST Forward!! Follow Closely

O.K. people, I know I’ve let the blog fall far, far behind. Sorry. I’m going to try to catch up with pictures and short comments.  1st I went to Kentucky in September for a short vacation and a visit to Aunt Robin, Uncle Erv, and Candy (Michelle). Gorgeous country down there! They took the time to take me around and show me the sights. I don’t think if I’d have stayed a month I could have seen it all. Was sad not to have seen Mike or Candy’s family- Bob, Jordan, and Peyton. We rented a pontoon one day and had a great time. Yes, I did have Cubbie with me, and yes, he did have a life jacket. Sue me, he’s my baby. :)  There is nothing quite like riding in a car with Robin and Ervin. Ha! They were hilarious. Aunt Robin was very concerned that I not be out late, or alone, or driving fast. I Promise (pretend you see my fingers crossed behind my back) that I didn’t do any of those. ;)  I got to visit Candy’s house and see how grown up her kiddies are. If you can call a high school football player and a HUGE KY fan(Peyton) kiddies. Will have to plan another visit soon. I stayed in a cabin on Lake Cumberland that was great.
